Amp draw is king. What I mean is a 2 stage 10 amp vacuum motor dries the carpet as fast as a 3 stage 10 amp vacuum motor. It does not mater what the vacuum motor is called rather how much electrical energy is converted into vacuum. This currently is a 19.8 amp vacuum system divided by two power cords. In other words the vacuum motor not in use will try to spin back ward and you will have almost no vacuum at the end of the vacuum hose. You will always have to use both breakers to make this machine function.
