FastDry Brand HK-JA01 Jet AIRFLOW High-Speed Hand Dryer with Steel Cover with White Porcelain Enamel (110V/120V) The JA-Series Jet Airflow hand dryer (by Hokwang Industries) is FastDry’s entry to the 10 to 15 second, fast-drying classification of hand dryers. The most unique feature of the HK-JA is its variable speed motor and adjustable heating element. With the help of a small screw driver (not included), the owner can adjust the motor speed and heating element with the turn of a hidden screw. Like a dimmer switch in your home, the speed & heat can be set to any point between the maximum and minimum settings. With this one adjustment, the owner can customize the air flow, dry time, sound quality, and energy consumption to fit any application environment. At its highest motor speed and heating element setting, the Model HK-JA is capable of taking the user’s hands from wet to dry in 10 to 15 seconds (3 times faster than traditional dryers). Extremely durable and vandal-resistant, the Model HK-JA01 has a light-weight steel cover. The cover is then finished with a white, high-gloss porcelain enameled paint. The brush-type, dual ball bearing motor operates at a range between 12000 and 18000RPM and is capable of producing an air velocity of 14,872 to 19,800 linear feet per minute or 169 to 225 miles per hour (51 to 68CFM air volume) and a temperature increase of 45°F at hand level (approx. 7 inches below nozzles). Both the motor (350 to 700 Watts) and heating element (450 to 900 Watts) are activated automatically by an adjustable infrared sensor (adjustable range is 2 to 13 inches). Dry time varies on the variable setting, but the length of the run time is determined by the user. As soon as the user’s hands are removed from under the unit, the drying cycle is terminated. I have several of these blow dryers, they were all removed from a vocational school. They are all used and they are all untested. I assume they were removed because they were too old or broken. They are being sold as is for parts or repair. They have two screws that hold the case on, they need a special bit to use them. Looks like a Allen wrench with a hole in the center. There is no wrench included. The screws will be taped to the top of the machine.
